We are currently enforcing drop-off and pick-up in our parking lot only. Payments can be made over the phone. Please call our main number 504-218-4098 and we will be out to assist shortly after.

Dear Clients

We are closely following the COVID-19 outbreak and have implemented additional protocols for sanitation as advised by health officials. We are taking extra precautions to ensure that our staff and clients are safe and healthy when visiting Canine Connection. This includes additional routine sanitation measures in our lobby and within our facility.

We are still planning to offer all services without restrictions, however if those plans change, we will announce it as soon as possible. We recommend following our Facebook page, but you may also call our main number for information. We ask that you continue to make appointments for Daycare, Boarding, and Grooming and notify us as soon as you can if you need to cancel so we can plan appropriately.

If you have made a reservation at Canine Connection or Canine Culture:

If you or any members in your household are experiencing a cough, fever, or difficulty breathing, or flu-like symptoms, or, if you have traveled to a country or location that has been designated as a “Community Spread” area for the COVID-19 recently, please make arrangements to have a non-exposed person drop-off and pick-up your pet.

We ask that you reduce or do not bring any belongings with your pet to reduce possible transmissions. We provide Kuranda cot beds, fleece blankets, and stainless-steel bowls that are routinely cleaned and sanitized at our facility.

If your dog is currently boarding at Canine Connection and you are experiencing a cough, fever, or difficulty breathing, or flu-like symptoms, or, if you have traveled to a country or location that has been designated as a “Community Spread” area for the COVID-19 recently, please make arrangements to have a non-exposed person pick-up your pet or to extend your reservation at Canine Connection.

We also ask that you please follow these adjustments when visiting Canine Connection:

•We will require at least one emergency contact that will be able to pick up your pet if notified from Canine Connection.
•No tours of the facility, and no entrance to the facility past the lobby or restroom will be allowed.
•Do not bring any non-essential belongings with your pet during their stay. If we feel it necessary, we will not allow any belongings besides food.
•If you choose to leave your leash, harness, or collars with Canine Connection during your dog’s stay they will be sanitized and may be washed.
•To reduce person-to-person contact you can call our main number 504-218-4098 and ask for us to walk your dog to your car. We’ve also asked staff to practice social distancing so they may walk away more quickly than usual. Additionally, to limit contact, they will refrain from shaking hands.

Staff have been instructed to not report to work if they are experiencing any of the above symptoms, and not to return until they’ve been symptom free without fever reducing medications for 24 hours. If we do experience exposure or have any confirmed cases of COVID-19 within our facility we will notify our local health officials and abide by all requirements. In the event it disrupts services, we will notify our clients immediately.

We appreciate your patience during this time. We will be postings updates on Facebook and our Website. Please give us a call if you have any additional questions, or concerns.
